Whether you’re trying to manage your anxiety and stress or lower your blood pressure, meditation can offer many benefits. Yet some people who could benefit most—especially those who have experienced trauma—may have difficulty with body- or breath-based meditation techniques. In this episode of the Woman Worriers podcast, host Elizabeth Cush, LGPC, a licensed professional therapist and founder of Progression Counseling in Annapolis, Md., offers an alternative that you might find easier—one that keeps you in the moment by focusig on a single sense. She will guide you through a brief listening meditation practice that you can do anywhere, indoors or out, sitting or standing, with eyes open or closed, any time you need to feel grounded or just need to take a break.
